From Crankworx to the World Cup: Jack Menzies and Nash Jamieson Take on 1199
Fresh off his Canadian National Championship win, Jack Menzies was keen to get back between the tape at Crankworx Whistler. With the potential to race the World Cup later in September, it was the perfect chance to learn the track and put some race laps down.
Joining him was fellow akta athlete Nash Jamieson. Still young and coming up through the ranks, Nash has been building speed in enduro, like his older brother Elliot, while also lining up for select DH races. There aren't many better places to test those skills than 1199.
We followed both riders from track walk to race run, getting a glimpse of what goes into preparing for a race at this level.
For Nash, the weekend unfortunately marked the end of his season. A lingering injury led him to make the tough call to undergo surgery and focus on recovery. We're stoked to hear things are going well and can't wait to see him back between the tape next season.
For Jack, things kept moving. He got the green light to race this weekend's World Cup on the same 1199 track, the only Canadian stop of the series.
